Officer Reports

Treasurer: Absent - Reviewed Report. One new member was added at the picnic. Have not yet met to transfer debit card

Secretary: Sent minutes,

Vice President: Attended Library Committee Meeting. Hosted and purchased food for the spring picnic. We still need to reimburse Paul.

President: Hosted June Game Day at OutFront Theatre, co-hosted spring picnic, hosted the first Game Library Committee meeting.

Events Coordinator: Absent - Reviewed Report.

  • Out@theMoies: Did not have Out@theMovies
  • Game Day: Held June 3. 36 attendees, six new. Leah notes it’s a great space with gender-neutral bathrooms, and concession sales appeared to have gone well. Robert noted that he liked the space, that not every table was used, and that nobody else was there. Some people brought food. Only one complaint about parking, someone left early to make sure they didn’t have to pay for street parking and may not have realized there was on-site parking. Valets appeared to be getting anxious to make sure cars moved out of the Valet parking spots. Discussed event times and perhaps let Valet know when we’ll be cleared out. Discussed options for WerewolfATL to join, there weren’t any side rooms, but we might be able to use the theater stage.
  • Spring Picnic: Held June 11. 27 people, four new. Eleven entries. Jordan Ryan was the winner - Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Tart. Elbot won second with a Strawberry Gazpacho. Leah notes two drawbacks: the weather and the guy sleeping in the bathroom. The food was good; we planned to have meatball sandwiches but decided on Publix sandwiches and chips last minute. People brought pot-luck food. Jordan did not pick a featured ingredient. He needs some time to think about it.
  • OutReaders Book Club: Met June 17. Five attendees, one new. Read The Ship Who Sang by Anne McCaffrey. The discussion leader was not able to attend. DeVon led chat discussions but hadn’t finished the book. Used a chatbot to come up with discussion questions.
  • Upcoming June Events
    • Happy Hour: June 21, 8 pm @ My Sister’s Room - moved at the request of My Sister’s Room. DeVon will host the event.
    • Out@theMovies: June 24, 7pm @ StudioPlex. Princess Mononoke. There’s a $250 license fee if we advertise watching a movie at OutFront.
  • Upcoming July/August Events: Briefly reviewed upcoming events and possible collaborations with Red’s Beer Garden. July Movie Night will be the weekend of the 28 (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday). Game Library Committee is TBD
  • Happy Hour: Discussed potential to re-vamp/rebrand

PR Coordinator: Absent. No Report
