The Dark Beyond the Stars by Frank M. Robinson
Robert Allen was the coordinator. 3 people attended: Robert, Bil, Ed
We went over these items:
Next meeting is May 15. The book is The Fifth Season by NK Jemisin.
Book discussion recap:
What we liked: Really enjoyed this book, had little criticism. It’s sci fi, but the science is more psychological and sociological than physics/space. Other than the extremely long lives of some of the crew, it was believable. The twist at the end seemed a little contrived. But without it the ending may have been very bleak or seemed futile.
What we disliked: Nothing.
Verdict: Thumbs up!
June Book Nominations
A Luminus Republic by Andres Barba - Ed
The Drowning girl by Caitlin Kiernan - Bil
