The regular business meeting of OutWorlders was held on Sunday, 21 January 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Atlanta Diner. Dan Benge, Bruce Berryhill, Scott Bobo, Wm S. Boozer, Ed Degruy, Ken Fernandez, Kris Harter, Robert Marshall, Kris Roehling, Jeff Smith, and Shelby Smith were present.

To get out the word about OutWorlders, the president will be making small announcements at events on how the group functions (funded by members).
==== Vice President's Report ====
Bringing friends to OutWorlders events helps spread the word and gets new people involved.
==== Treasurer's Report ====
There are now 14 sponsoring members. $330 was paid out for the Pride table.
==== Internet Coordinator ====
Needs to get access to administrative tools in order to change web. Has been updating from the back end. V.P. will send.
==== Historian ====
Wants to get a collage made to use for events, at cons.
==== Event Coordinator's Report ====
Planning some new events to bring interest. The Spring Picnic is April 21st. We're looking at new parks to use and taking a poll on our option. Send suggestions to Kris Harter.
A possible “travel event” is in the works. Email any suggestions to Kris Harter.
Game night is at Robert's on the second Saturday. A Gaylacticon Outpost meeting is scheduled for February 15. Gaylaxicon is on October 5-8.
==== Public Relations Coordinator ====
Will make sure we always have membership forms at events. Thinks having an OutWorlders 101 spiel at regular events is a good idea. Check with the coordination, Kris Roehling about any P.R. possibilities and suggestions.
There was discussion about the planned events for the year:
* Pride: is expensive but is a draw for new members
* DragonCon: we've tried to get panelists before and get the word out about OutWorlders. We could get ad space, for a ¼ page it's $200
* Sci-Fi Summer: this year we'll have a party but skip the table
* MoMo Con: Mar 17-18
* Atl. Anime Weekend
* TimeGate
* Frolicon
* BSMC Con: Apr 5-7

The writers' group did not meet in December. Our next meeting is scheduled for 28 January 2007.
==== OutWorld Readers ====
The readers' group read met to discuss ''The Merro'' Tree by Katie Waitman. The next meeting is Feb. 11 to discuss ''Love in Relief'' by Guy Hocquenghem.
==== Gaylactic Outpost Atlanta ====
Bruce created business cards with OutWorlders' info on it as P.R. for the event. The event is going to be at the Sheraton Downtown. The membership fee for the convention is $50 now.
We have a table at Chattacon. Kris Harter is bringing AOW flyers, Ken is bringing Gaylaxicon stuff.
The Outpost wants to share in the cost of the Pride table.

Proposal: There was a proposal to designate $200 to a discretionary fund for the Events Coordinator to use for group events.
Proposal: There was a proposal that the gaming group be made a SIG called “OutWorlders' Gamers.”
Ed brought up the topic of By-Law Changes.
# In case of a tie, what do we need to do?
# We need to revisit the number of official fundraisers we hold.
We will have an anniversary party for the 6th year of Outworlders: July 28th.
For DragonCon, we will offer the option of having four volunteers in exchange for staying in the group's room for free. Two volunteers to work the door, two to work the bar.
The meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
