The regular business meeting of OutWorlders was held on Sunday, 20 August 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Atlanta Diner. Wm S. Boozer, Dan Benge, Ken Fernandez, Robert Marshall, Kris Roehling, Alan Siler, Jeff Smith, Shelby Smith, and Scott Bobo were present.
=== Financial Report ===
Jeff reported that there is $1599.03 in the OutWorlders’ account.
=== Special Interest Groups Reports ===
Wm reported that the Writers’ group is meeting next weekend. The Readers’ group will be reading ''The Salt Roads''.
Alan reported that Gaylactic Outpost is in the process of looking for a guest of honor for Gaylaxicon 2007, which will be held in Atlanta in October 2007.
Shelby discussed the possibility of creating a new SIG called WOO: Women of Outworlders. At present, WOO will continue as is, and will be listed as an activity on the calendar.
=== Old Business ===
The planning for DragonCon (Sept. 1-4) was discussed. Kris R. and Jeff will be coordinating the items for tabling starting on Friday, including wristbands (to sell for $1), brochures, etc. Carlton is in charge of getting new brochures printed.
Ken will bring the banners, and work with Kris to get the PVC pipe scaffolding for the large banner to the hotel. Shelby will try to get an easel for the Gaylaxicon poster.
Volunteers are needed to help card people at the party on Sunday.

Robert made a proposal regarding refreshments for a Halloween Party:

It is proposed that $50 be used to get food (no alcohol) for a Halloween party for Atlanta Outworlders.
