Date and Time: 1/20/24, 2pm
Location: Zoom
Book: TJ Klune’s In the Lives of Puppets

Coordinator: DeVon Green
Attendees: DeVon Green, Ed Stewart, Amber Roberts, Trevon Taylor, Will Gordon, Bil Boozer,
Travis McCaullogh

What we liked about this book: We enjoyed the fresh reimagining of the Pinocchio story with a
queer twist.

What we didn’t like: The blasé attitude towards a fictional genocide was a bit of a hard sell for
some of us. Otherwise, everything was solid.

Verdict: 2 thumbs sideways, 5 thumbs up

Next Book Nominations:
Starfish by Peter Watts (384 pgs) – Ed Stewart
The Paleontologist by Luke Dumas (356 pgs) – Amber Roberts
How We Fight for Our Lives (192 pgs) – Trevon Taylor
Escaping Mr. Rochester (352 pgs) – Will Gordon
