What we liked about this book: We discussed Octavia Butler’s world building at length,
speculating on the characters’ powers and those powers’ inherent effect on the characters’
morality.
What we didn’t like: Toxic men being toxic. We were also not fans of slavery and eugenics.
Verdict: Thumbs up from all!
