What we liked about this book: The matter-of-fact writing really underscored the blank slate of the protagonist, pulling us into a world of bleak hopelessness without overstating the misery of the situation.
What we didn’t like: We overall enjoyed the book, but we almost unanimously agreed that not knowing more about the reasons for this misery was killing us.
Verdict: 9 thumbs up (presumably; I forgot to get a rating this time, but no one hated it)
