What we liked about this book: The raw, emotional prose of this novel immerses the reader in the grieving process against a dystopian backdrop.

What we didn’t like: The immersion was, at times, just too much. Many of us walked away from this story more depressed than when we came into it.

Verdict: 6 thumbs up, 1 thumb sideways
