Discussion
What we liked about this book: The rich characterizations and deft navigation of extremely difficult subject matter left us in awe. Alka Joshi’s ability to draw us into the world of these characters was at the heart of our entire discussion.
What we didn’t like: This wasn’t necessarily a dislike, but we managed to dodge the touchy subject of abortion which was a central piece of the novel.
Verdict: Unanimous thumbs up!
