What we liked about this book: The storytelling was compelling enough to keep our interest despite the individual stories comprising this novel not being thoroughly interconnected as part of a single narrative.

What we didn’t like: The weird sex stuff. Yikes.

Verdict: Three thumbs sideways, one thumb up, one thumb down.
