What we liked about this book: We loved the nuanced take on the Fantasy genre. The characters were interesting and the unexpected plot twists kept us on our toes.

What we didn’t like: Mommy Fortuna’s Midnight Carnival. Period.

Verdict: Three thumbs up, one sideways
