What we liked about this book: The novel effectively illustrated the effects of long-term, systematic dehumanization and "othering" in ways that forced us to reckon with real-world situations.
What we didn’t like: Most of the group was unnerved by the explicit pedophilia. There were a lot of yikes moments.
Verdict: Three thumbs up!
