Book Club: Monday, January 19 @ 7 pm / Discord
- How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying by Django Wexler
- 2 people, 0 new
- What we liked about this book: This was a light, fun read and we became significantly invested in Davi’s journey through this fantasy world.
- What we didn’t like: While the story made good on completing its arc, showing us how Davi became the Dark Lord, it raised several questions and created plot points along the way that were not handled in this version of the story. We hated the cliffhanger ending.
- Two thumbs up!
Note: Griffen to ask DeVon if DeVon wants the board's help looking for a new coordinator.
Game Night: Saturday, February 7 @ 1 pm / Woofs
- 48 in attendance, 14 new.
- Woofs covered the pool table and moved the shuffle board out of the way. Recommend we always ask for this.

Eric Looked into TikTok, but we don't have enough video content for it, and there are privacy concerns. Eric will experiment with Instagram Edits. Eric might start sharing our events in various Facebook groups.
Unfinished Business
Location Survey
Results from February were mostly intown, a few on the east side, and a few in Sandy Springs. Griffen recommends we look for locations in intown east: Kirkwood, Old Fourth Ward, Inman Park, Reynoldstown, etc. Next steps: We should narrow down specific businesses in these areas and get manager contact info from them. Best practice is to visit potential venues on a Saturday afternoon to see how busy they are and would they be a good fit for us.

Perks for Sponsoring Membership
Of the four perks discussed in January, removed merchandise as a perk, leaving three:
- Sponsoring Member-only game event in July. Possibly at Eric's or Robert M.'s, in July to celebrate our anniversary, but separate from our July game event. We have no budget for food/drink, so BYOB.
- Vote on games added to the OutWorlders library: Most likely a Discord poll in a Sponsoring Members-only chat. Open poll 4 weeks before game day, close poll 3 weeks before game day.
- Quarterly game giveaway: Winner drawn randomly, possibly by rolling huge d20. Don't need to be present to win. People can join on the spot. Cadence: MAR-JUN-SEP-DEC.

Griffen to shut down Slack. Griffen to ask Christian who has permissions to do this.

Meeting Cadence
Cadence to remain monthly for now. Next meeting moved to March 22, 11 am.
ATLRPG Cross-Promotion
Griffen messaged Ari at ATLRPG and they are working on some group cross-promotions.
Discord Name Standardization
Griffen to draft an announcement asking people to change their Discord names to their first name on our server only.
Virtual Game Night
Board discussed creating a poll to gauge interest in virtual game nights via Discord or other means.
Open Floor
Reports
Griffen asked everyone to put reports in Google Docs/Sheets etc. and share them to the officers-only chat in Discord prior to or during meetings.
Learn2Play
Robert A. wants to start a featured game of the month where he teaches a game in the OutWorlders library at a dedicated table at game events.
