Secretary: (absent) Sent minutes,
Vice President: Submitted happy hour report (Red’s Beer Garden )
President: Hosted July Game Night at Robert Marshall’s house. In contact with Pride about this year’s event, nothing firmed up, more detail to be discussed in New Business.

Past Events
- Happy Hour (June): Held Wednesday, June 21, 8 PM ET @ My Sister’s Room. Eight attendees (three new). Was Karaoke night, one person got confused and signed in, thinking they were signing up for a song.
- Out@theMoies: Held Saturday, June 24 @ StudioPlex. Saw Princess Monoke, zero attendees. Leah was set up by 6:30, gave up by 7:30. Suspects it was because it was June, bright/hot/sunny, and people had stuff to do. Leah would like to discuss future of Movie Night next month.
- Game Night: Held Saturday, July 1 @ Robert Marshall’s house. 48 attendees (nine new). Business as usual.
- Happy Hour (July): Held Thursday, July 13, 8 PM ET @ Red’s Beer Garden. Seven attendees (three new). New venue for OutWorlders, Red’s reserved an outdoor picnic table for us. Leah liked the location, thinks it would work well for Game Day (or night, well lit parking lot), good seating inside and out (outdoor is uncovered but had some umbrellas), beer and food were good, would go again.
- OutReaders Book Club: Held Saturday, July 15, 2 PM ET via Zoom. Read The Henna Artist by Alka Joshi. Seven attendees (no new)
Upcoming July Events
Out@theMovies: Barbie movie, July 28, 29, or 30. Theater TBD (the movie opens July 21). Robert Marshall will host the event, may move to opening weekend. Robert Allen may co-host. Leah reccommends having it opening weekend at Landmark (if Landmark is showing it)
Upcoming August/September Events: Game Day at Woof’s, Happy Hour (Thursday, August 10), OutReaders Book Club (The Memory Library by Janelle Monet), Regular Busines Meeting, and Out@theMovies. Game Day will be hosted Saturday, September 9 (the week after DragonCon)
Discussed upcoming theatrical movie releases
Discussed why people might not be going to Game Day, one person mentioned that they felt they were too young for Woofs, another person mentioned some confusion when Game Day rotates. May ask Paul if he’s willing to host.
PR Coordinator: Absent. Reviewed social media metrics
Internet Coordinator: Vacant. Reviewed Google Analytics data. Noted the term “outworlders” had an average position of 1.5 (Note: this means we are usually the first or second result, not page)
Historian: Reviewed Attendance data
Committee Reports
Bylaws: Did not meet, need to set up a virtual meeting on a Monday
OutReaders: Read The Henna Artist by Alka Joshi. Not a sci-fi movie, but everybody gave it a thumbs-up. Had a good discussion
Out@theMovies: Did not meet
Game Library Committee Meeting: Did not meet
Unfinished Business
Vertical Sign: Reviewed updated design, like the new design, would like to change where the barcode goes.
Proposal 2023-06-B: Putting a pin in this proposal. Not enough quarum, need to discuss if an auction is the right way to go
Pride: Pride is expecting us to host the game tent, no need for us to fill out a vendor form. A second contact (Lance Mealer) was trying to put us under the Bandstand. Robert told them we were in a tent last year and that we’d like to be in the tent again this year. Bryan asks if we should put out advertisements.
New Business
Gaming Locations: Robert reached out to Pride contact, Steven Igarashi-Ball. Pride plans to continue to host us.
Dragon Con Ribbons: Leah needs artwork for Ribbons
Fall Picnic: Noted that September is busy with events. Could possibly do early November if we use East Lake Commons (Leah has a contact). Otherwise, Sunday, September 24, would be a good idea.
