OutWorlders, Inc. Regular Meeting Minutes for 2021/08/19

Correspondence

None

Officer Reports

• President: Ordered three t-shirts, received more game-library stickers, and submitted anniversary party expenses to Treasurer.
• Vice-President: Received two more bins of games from Ken, most games in the library have stickers and ID numbers, some games were found in the Game Library by an unknown donor. Reports that Fulton County libraries have suspended their after-hours programs and events must run during operating hours but can extend an hour past closing. Also scouted Axis Replay, Church of the Epiphany, and Virginia Highland Church. Each has its pros and cons.
• Treasurer: Two new memberships at August game day, currently at the break-even point for the year.
• Secretary: No Report.
• Events Coordinator: Movie night, seven attendees. New movie TBD, to be held at Studioplex. Book Club has not occurred since the last meeting. Book Club will meet at Kirkwood library. The next book for book club is Kindred by Octavia Butler. Happy hour, four attendees. Happy hour to be hosted at Church until further notice (Tues, Weds, Thursday monthly rotation). Outlantacon is currently negotiating with hotels and will reach out when details are available.
• Public Relations Coordinator: Four new Facebook members, seven new Instagram members, one new Twitter follower.
• Internet Coordinator: Reports that Linktree is driving traffic to the website
• Historian: Vacant, no report.

Committee and SIG Reports

• Bylaws Committee: No update.
• Out@theMovies SIG: No report written. (Held Saturday, August 28th. Spice World. Next date and movie TBD.)
• OutReaders SIG: Has not met since last meeting. The next meeting is on August 21 to read Kindred by Octavia Butler. September will be The First 15 Lives of Harry August by Claire North.

Unfinished Business

• Merchandise: Drinkware on hold.
• Game Library: Closed. Will be included in regular reporting.
• Pride, Cons: See Vice-President’s report and Events Coordinator’s report.
• Meetup.com: Hesitant to create an account until we know what the rest of 2021 is going to look like with the new Delta variant and venue restrictions.
• Fundraiser possibilities: No updates.

New Business

Dungeons & Dinner @Axis Replay: Axis replay has invited OutWorlders to reserve tables during their Sunday Dungeons & Dinner events. Unclear if this is a free invitation.
