OutWorlders, Inc.

September 2011

The regular business meeting of OutWorlders was held on Sunday, September 18, 2011, at 11:00 am at Robert’s studio. Bil, Robert, Cassie, and Vandy Beth were present. The president called the meeting to order.

Officer Reports

President’s Report

The Dragon*Con party was a success, despite the difficulty with Marriott security. The Friday Night Feature was fun, and Doctor Who drew 11 people.

Vice President’s Report

The people who signed up at the Dragon*Con table need to be added to the Yahoo! groups. Robert has the signup sheets. Volunteer?

Pride? What do we want to show. No one has volunteered to staff the Pride table or to do the bucket brigade.

Secretary’s Report

We’re having a good month. A new person, John, was at both the Friday Night Feature and Doctor Who. Better turnout for Friday Night Feature would be welcome.

Treasurer’s Report

Bil reimbursed Angela for $30 for the Outlantacon party; he reimbursed Robert $45 for Dragon*Con cookies. He will verify slots for the Pride buckets.

Events Coordinator’s Report

Dragon*Con fan table was a success. Lots of people dropped by for info.

We should hire a table attendant in the future.

Public Relations Coordinator’s Report

Robert needs to be reimbursed for printing party cards and other expenses. He has the receipts.

Internet Coordinator’s Report

The Internets are still there. Robert is still working on a form fur updating the calendar. He hopes to have it up within a month or two.

Historian’s Report

Not present. Pictures were taken at Dragon*Con.

Special Interest Groups Reports

Readers Group

On hiatus.

Gaming

Game Night went well. There was ad-hoc gaming last week.

Old Business

The Hallowe’en party will be on Friday, October 28th, at either the Rush Center or Robert and Jack’s house.

The fall picnic will be the second weekend in November.

New Business

We will have a meet-and-greet on the evening of the Sunday of Pride at Taco Cabaña. We’ll need postcard-sized or business-card-sized flyers to hand out at our table to promote this.

Tentatively, the holiday party will be December 10th.
