OutWorlders, Inc.

April 2011

The regular business meeting of OutWorlders was held on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at 11:31 am at Atlanta Diner. Cassie, Ken Fernandez, Robert Marshall, Bil Boozer, Vandy Beth Glenn, and Justin Williams were present. The president called the meeting to order.

Officer Reports

President’s Report

Cassie is our new president! Game Night and the spring picnic both went well.

Vice President’s Report

No vice-president.

Secretary’s Report

The picnic went very well.

Treasurer’s Report

We have $3107.97. In the past month we spent $450 on a second booth at Pride.

We had no income.

Events Coordinator’s Report

Justin is our new Events Coordinator. He has submitted an application for us to get a fan table at Dragon*Con, to share with either Outlantacon or with TimeGate.

The Harry Potter viewing event was last night (April 16); there were ten attendees.

Our room party at Outlantacon will be on Saturday, and will be vampire-themed.

Wendy Darling wants to host an AlienNation party.

We will have a room party at TimeGate.

Public Relations Coordinator’s Report

Position not assigned.

Internet Coordinator’s Report

Robert brought unreadable printouts of Web site statistics to the meeting. He’s also working on a new process for the Web site, which will make everything server-based instead of Javascript applications.

Historian’s Report

We have even more history than we did last month, but no photos were taken at the picnic. The Fall Picnic’s “Iron Chef” ingredient will be pumpkin.

The May Game Night will be at J.D’s house.

April’s Game Night went well.

Old Business

We need to find a new candidate for Public Relations Coordinator.

New Business

Nominations are now open for the vacant position of vice-president. They will remain open until the May business meeting, at which time they will close and we will vote. The secretary will accept nominations via email, phone, or in person.

Ken Fernandez accepted a nomination to run for vice-president.

Cassie appointed Ken Fernandez as temporary vice-president, pending the election.

The May business meeting will be held at Outlantacon/Gaylaxicon.

We will need people to staff the fan tables at Outlantacon/Gaylaxicon and at TimeGate. We will also need volunteers at Pride in October.
