The regular business meeting of OutWorlders was held on Sunday, November 21, 2010, at 11:31 am at Atlanta Diner. Cassie, Kris Harter, Robert Marshall, Wm. S. Boozer, Edward DeGruy, and Vandy Beth Glenn were present. President DeGruy called the meeting to order.
Vice President’s Report
Not present. No report.
The Treasurer paid out $78.52 in reimbursements for the Fall Picnic. We received $915 from the Bucket Brigade at Pride.
Events Coordinator’s Report
November was a good month for events. Game night at Robert’s studio was well-attended, and some new people were there. Robert Marshall brought a friend from work.
$100 has been budgeted for the Holiday party; maybe we’ll combine it with Highlander/Red Dwarf night. There will be a Ferengi Gift Exchange.

Special Interest Groups Reports
Game Night at Robert’s studio was good. It did get a little crowded, but the place has a working refrigerator and a microwave oven.
The proposed amendment to the bylaws relevant to the budget passed by a vote of 7 to 1 to 1 (one “nay” and one “present”).
The Hallowe’en party went well.
Expenditures for a room party for Chattacon will be added to the 2011 budget.
The premiere of Tron: Legacy will be December 17th. We’ll have an outing to go see it, which Dan Benge will hose.
Four of us attended the Rifftrax Hallowe’en event. It was fun.
Nominations for the 2011 elections closed without any new nominations.
The first Game Night of 2011 will be on January 1st. We don’t know for sure yet whether we’ll also have a New Year’s Eve party.
The Holiday/Christmas Party will be at Georgia Equality’s Rush Center from 7 pm until midnight. We’ll have food and drinks, and a Ferengi Gift Exchange. Jeff Smith has leftovers from the Hallowe’en party which he will bring, and for the “Iron Chef” holiday edition, the special ingredient will be garlic.
There will be an Outworlders room party at Chattacon 2011, which will be January 21-23.
January’s Game Night on New Year’s Day will be at Robert and Jack’s newly-restored house.
There were no additional nominations this month for the 2011 slate of officers.
