The regular business meeting of OutWorlders was held on Sunday, 19 April, 2009, at 11:31 am at Atlanta Diner. Vandy Beth Glenn, Ed DeGruy, Kris Harter, Jeff Smith, Robert Marshall, and Scott Bobo were present. President DeGruy called the meeting to order.

Treasurer’s Report
We have $2484.14.
We received $60.00 from PALS, and $32.05 from the Starlite Drive-In Flea Market event.
Events Coordinator’s Report
Our Events Coordinator resigned. Dan Benge has temporarily assumed the role until a permanent replacement may be found.
Public Relations Coordinator’s Report
The Public Relations Coordinator has resigned. A replacement has not yet been found.
Internet Coordinator’s Report
The Internet Coordinator is caught up on updates.
The Calendar page still gets the most hits, but the Gallery page has spiked to the fourth-most popular. We have been receiving links from pages in the Netherlands.
Other hits have been coming from a page at Georgia Tech related to the Bud Foote Science Fiction Library. The Internet Coordinator did not know the URL offhand, but it was probably this one: http://www.lcc.gatech.edu/~lyaszek/links.html.

Special Interest Groups Reports
Readers’ Group
According to Wm. S. Boozer, the Readers Group has not met since the March business meeting. It was to meet on April 19th at 1 pm to discuss Wicked by Gregory Maguire.
In May the group will discuss The Snow Garden by Christopher Rice.
Writers’ Group
According to Wm. S. Boozer, Wendy Darling now heads the Writers Group. It met in March and also meets bimonthly, so there will be no April meeting.
Gaming
Strategy Gaming was pushed back a week this month, and will now take place on Saturday, April 25th.
Ken Fernandez has removed his home from the rotation for Game Night hosting, due to a lack of space.
The May Game Night will be in situ at Outlantacon. Outworlders who wish to attend Game Night but not attend the rest of the convention will be welcome.
The Wednesday daytime gaming event has become more specifically a D&D event.
New Business
New Coordinators are required for Public Relations and Events.
We need people to staff the Outworlders table at Outlantacon.
We need someone to coordinate the staffing of the Outworlders table for Outlantacon and for TimeGate.
Old Business
The expenditure of $100 for a back-page ad in the Outlantacon program book was proposed. It passed, with 5 voting “Yea” and 1 voting “Present.”
The Flea Market event was considered a success.
An Outworlders table was stationed at Frolicon earlier in April. No new members joined as a result of it, but some new people joined the “Yahoo!” groups.
There was an Outworlders table at Mid-South Con in Memphis recently. No new members resulted from that either.
The meeting adjourned at 12:04 p.m.
