Events Coordinator’s Report
Alan Siler, outgoing Events Coordinator, said there will be a Battlestar Galactica viewing party at Chris Lund’s house on Friday, March 20th.
Aimee Love, the incoming interim Events Coordinator, reported that a core group of six people are playing in her new weekday gaming group on Wednesdays. The games played have included role-playing games. She has been speaking with the Atlanta Dungeons and Dragons group about adding an LGBT presence to their activities.
She will be hosting a monster movies party soon at which people will be able to pose knocking over miniature cardboard cities. She is considering hosting other themed parties, such as zombie parties which would include Jell-O made in brain-shaped molds. There has been a good response to these ideas from four giant monsters.
Public Relations Coordinator’s Report
Aimee Love has been reaching out to the local media to gain publicity for the group. WSB-TV has responded.
She has also spoken to the Frolicon table about the Outworlders fan table at that con. We will need two or three people to staff it.

Special Interest Groups Reports
Readers Group
The Readers Group met last Sunday (March 8th) at 1 p.m. to discuss Sebastian’s Tangibles by Anthea Ingram. It was not a genre book, but did have gay content.
The next meeting will be April 19th. Wicked by Gregory Maguire will be discussed.
Writers Group
The Writers Group will next meet on March 22nd at the Borders on Peachtree Street across from Phipps Plaza. This will be an organizational meeting, and they will talk about how they want to continue with the group and who will be its leader.
Also, Southern Voice wants to write a story about the Outworlders’ Writers Group.
Gaming
Strategy Gaming will be next Saturday, the 21st of March, at Brent’s house.
Old Business
There was no objection to spending $100 to buy an ad in the Outlantacon program book. However, since the vote was not properly announced beforehand, it was not held.
The flea market event at the Starlight Drive-In was not held due to THUNDERSNOW. It has been rescheduled for April 4th.
People have been taking advantage of the discounts offered to Outworlders by the Dragon’s Horde store.
New Business
Aimee Love needs help from other people to staff the Frolicon table.
Arranging for discounts for Outworlders at stores, similar to the Dragon’s Horde discounts, could be a way to increase the membership of Outworlders.
Outworlders (and TimeGate) will have tables at MidSouthCon in Memphis next weekend, and at Imagicon in Birmingham the weekend after that.
MomoCon and StellarCon were both this weekend. There was no Outworlders presence at either.
The meeting adjourned at 12:03 p.m.
Respectfully submitted by Vandy Beth Glenn, Secretary, Atlanta Outworlders.
