OutWorlders, Inc.

The regular business meeting of OutWorlders was held on Sunday, 19 February 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Diner. Ken Fernandez, William Boozer, Carlton Harrington, Wm S Boozer, Ed deGruy, Alan Siler and Dan Berge present.

Jeff reported by phone that we have $1332.68 in the bank and 23 sponsoring members.

Bill reported that the Website Calendar was updated. The Website has also been updated and that there were no new photos for the site. Alan later reported that some were taken at Dr. Who.

Public Relations Coordinator, Ed, Talked about MOMO Con and several other possible events of interests which he would post to the list and announced the Logo contest guidelines which he would also post to the list. The Gaylaxicon Committee reported that a Guest of Honor was in the works and that Colony Square had been contracted for the event.

Robert’s proposal for the Spring Picnic was presented by Bill for a vote at the March meeting. This brought up a discussion of how the budget worked. The spring Picnic was included in the budget. It was brought out that the budget was made as a guideline to see where we were financially and was not approved by the group as an allocation of funds for specific purposes.

Bill reported that That the Readers group met Feb 12 to discuss Glory Season, but no one had read the entire book. Next month the readers group is reading Middlesex.

Bill also reported that the Writers group had decided on a theme for the 2006 DragonCon project. “Stories will be set in a traveling carnival called Traveling Sam’s Extravaganza & Amusements.”
