OutWorlders
The regular business meeting of OutWorlders was held on Sunday, 15 June 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Diner, the President being in the chair and the Secretary being present. The following sponsoring members were present: Bil Boozer, Amy Coppeans, Chris Coppeans, Edward deGruy, Will Gauvin, Kris Harter, Joy Hatcher, Alan Siler, Jeff Smith, Lynn Swetz.
Treasurer's Report
Joy Hatcher reported expenses related to the Internet site had been paid. Thirty-two members have paid their dues this year. T-shirts were ready for distribution at Pride, and a $15 donation was being asked in exchange for each one. Approximately $123 was raised at the fund-raiser at the Buffy the Vampire Slayer finale at Miss Qs. Joy reported she was working on getting a table banner for the group.
Internet Coordinator's Report
Chris Coppeans and the members discussed the appropriateness of different kinds of advertising on the group's Internet site. Links to fan-related sites and to CHRIS Rainbow Home were deemed suitable. Ed deGruy recommended the creation of a committee to discuss advertising links on the site.
Public Relations Coordinator's Report
Alan Siler reported that he was producing a press release about the upcoming anniversary. He was also working on flyers for Pride, which can be reused at Dragon*Con. The anniversary party was scheduled for 13 July 2003.
Proposal
Alan Siler had posted a message on 10 June 2003 asking that the organization consider an emergency proposal to provide funding for the anniversary party. Sponsoring members voted 14-0-0 to consider the proposal. (Aaron Angel, Ty Ballard, Ray Blount, and Rená Jones had submitted absentee ballots considered in this voting.)

03-06-01 Funding for Anniversary Cookout
THAT OutWorlders use $100 to buy food, supplies, and one prize for a scavenger hunt for this year's anniversary cookout.
The proposal was adopted by a vote of 15-0-0. (Aaron Angel, Ty Ballard, Ray Blount, Rená Jones, and Zoe King had submitted absentee ballots considered in this voting.)
Writers' Group (OutWriters)
Joy Hatcher announced that the Writers' Group had decided to set its meetings as the third Wednesday of each month. The writers' retreat was being planned for either 12 July 2003 or 26 July 2003.
Readers' Group (OutWorldReaders)
Chris Coppeans announced that the readers' group would not be meeting in July and that the group had decided to set its meetings as the first Sunday after the second Saturday of each month. The book for discussion at the August meeting is China Mountain Zhang.
Atlanta Pride
Will Gauvin reported that the Pride Committee had met and discussed information distribution. Kris Harter reported that she would be bringing a canopy to set up near the booth for people to rest under. Jeff Smith reported that parking passes had been received.
Dragon*Con (See Treasurer's Report)
Kris Harter has volunteered to staff the fan table during Dragon*Con. The Party is planned for Saturday night, with video viewing during the day on Saturday.
The June regular business meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m. The next regular business meeting will be 20 July 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Atlanta Diner.
