Vice President's Report
The Vice President had no report.
Joy Hatcher reported that Mike Allgood had been paid for the website expenses for 2002 for which he had submitted appropriate records. She indicated that a letter regarding the trivia contest/fund-raiser had been faxed to Cowtippers, and we were awaiting a response. It's likely the event will need to be moved to April. Given the organization's current financial state, a fund-raiser is desperately needed. The organization has obtained an Employer Identification Number, so it can open a banking account as an organization now.
The Secretary had no report.
Chris Coppeans announced that http://www.outworlders.info/ would be the new address of the organization's web site.
Kris Harter announced that the organization's spring picnic would be held on 13 April 2003, the afternoon preceding April's Dr. Who Night. She further discussed providing food at the Buffy the Vampire Slayer season finale in May at Miss Q's and said she would be having 100 t-shirts made to be purchased as a fund-raiser for the organization.
Ed deGruy announced that Alan Siler had been appointed to the position of Public Relations Coordinator for the organization.
The Readers' Group will be meeting on Sunday, 23 March 2002, to continue discussion of Storm Constantine's Sign for the Sacred. The subsequent meeting is scheduled for 13 April 2003, and the book for discussion will be Bending the Landscape: Science Fiction edited by Stephen Pagel and Nicola Griffith. Stephen Pagel has been invited to attend the meeting.
