OutWorlders is committed to providing a safe and welcoming space for members of the LQBTQ+ community and its allies. We respect all people regardless of sex, gender, identity, expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or any other characteristic protected under federal, state, or local law. We do not tolerate harassment in any form.

Participation in OutWorlders’ programs is subject to the observance of the organization’s rules and procedures. The activities outlined below are strictly prohibited. Any participant, volunteer, or staff member who violates this Code is subject to discipline, up to and including removal from the event or program. The list below is not exhaustive, and all behavior otherwise deemed inappropriate by Outworlders administration, other volunteers, or the event host will be subject to the same disciplinary measures.


  • Discourtesy or rudeness to a participant, staff member, or volunteer.
  • Abusive language toward a participant, staff member, or volunteer.
  • Verbal, physical, or visual harassment of a participant, staff member, or volunteer.
  • Actual or threatened violence toward any individual or group.
  • Inappropriate physical contact.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
  • Harassing photography or recording.
  • Sustained disruption of an event.
  • Conduct endangering the life, safety, health, or well-being of others or self.
  • Possession or use of illegal drugs at an OutWorlders event.
  • Bringing dangerous property or unauthorized materials such as explosives, firearms, weapons, etc. to an OutWorlders event.
  • Bullying or taking unfair advantage of any participant, staff member or volunteer.
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviors.
  • Failure to follow any OutWorlders policy or procedure.
  • Reporting

    To report harassment, speak to a member of the OutWorlders administration, a volunteer, or to the event host.

    OutWorlders will protect the confidentiality of people who report harassment or participate in a harassment investigation to the best of its abilities.
