Proposal 2019-01-A. Proposal to Form Outreach Committee

WHEREAS OutWorlders has met to discuss the goals for 2019 and determined that collaboration with other groups should be our top priority;

WHEREAS several members have shown an interest in reaching out to their contacts for such collaboration;

WHEREAS it was also determined that OutWorlders should host events involving video games as one of the group’s top priorities;

WHEREAS several members have shown an interest in gaming and attending such an event;

WHEREAS OutWorlders needs to research organizations to collaborate with;

WHEREAS OutWorlders needs to research venues for events;

WHEREAS OutWorlders needs to research costs for events;

WHEREAS OutWorlders needs to research types of events that are possible to participate in, collaborate on, and/or host;

WHEREAS OutWorlders needs to research equipment and/or personnel needed for such events; and

WHEREAS OutWorlders needs to research costs for such events.

RESOLVED

that OutWorlders form an Outreach Committee to serve until December 2019:
- to focus on collaboration with other groups;
- to reach out to contacts for such collaboration; and
- to focus on creation of a video game event.
- that Eric Maxwell shall serve as the committee chair and report at the regular business

meetings; and

FURTHER RESOLVED that the Outreach committee shall:

research organizations to collaborate with;
research venues for events;
research costs for events;
research types of events that are possible to participate in, collaborate on, and/or host;
research equipment and/or personnel needed for such events; and
research costs for such events.
