March 2013

The regular business meeting of OutWorlders was held on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 11:04 am at Robert’s studio. Bil, Ken, and Vandy Beth were present. The president called the meeting to order.

Treasurer’s Report

We spent $190 on Outlantacon/Gaylaxicon and Timegate program book ads. We received no income.

Events Coordinator’s Report

Not assigned. Timegate and Outlantacon/Gaylaxicon are coming up. Ken has a room reserved for a party at Outlantacon/Gaylaxicon, and will do the same for Timegate but hasn’t yet. The spring picnic will be the 28th of April from 10am to 3pm. Ken has the coolers for that. We’ll arrive at 10 a.m. to set up

Game Night went well. There will be no May Game Night due to Outlantacon/Gaylaxicon.

Old Business

Vandy Beth asked the Facebook group how we might improve attendance at business meetings. We may peg them to Game Night, but since not every month has a Game Night this is not a perfect solution. Also, any change would require a revision of the bylaws. The question deserves further study. We’ll discuss it at the picnic and Bil will draft an amendment based on that discussion.

The Anniversary Picnic will be a potluck, and it will be indoors, in the evening, due to the summer heat. It will be July 27th or 28th.
